House rules

How stances, reports, hides, and suspensions work. The Terms of Use remain the contract.

How it works

A proposal is a sentence you support or oppose. You place a stance, then adopt or write reasons. Reasons are claims about the question, not replies to people. There are no threads and no personal attacks. We rank reasons, never people. Your club in that league decides whether you count as club, rival, or neutral.

Voting

A stance needs at least one reason. You can adopt or write at most 3 reasons. A reason is 20–240 characters. You can withdraw while the question is open. After a result is posted, voters can revisit for 14 days. Hidden questions stay frozen: no new votes or interest marks.

New questions

You can send 3 draft questions per day. Titles are at most 140 characters. Drafts wait for review before they open.

Reports and hiding

You can report a question or a reason as needing evidence or as abuse. Your account must be 7 days old to report. You can send 10 reports per day. 2 independent reports hide the content from everyone except the author and staff. The author can contest a hide so staff can review it.

Interest

Interested and not interested are marks, not votes. You can mark 60 times per day. A card greys out after 5 not-interested marks and leaves the default feed after 8. That is crowd bury, separate from a staff or flag hide.

Clubs

You pick one primary club per league, or none. You can change a primary club every 30 days. You can follow at most 5 extra clubs per league.

Suspension

We may hide reasons or questions, and suspend or remove accounts, for abuse, hate, impersonation, or trying to manipulate results. A suspended account cannot vote, follow, or post.

The binding contract is the Terms of Use.
